MAP Auto Spare Parts Supply Chain Department embarked on a transformative journey to enhance efficiency and reduce operational losses through a structured 6-month continuous improvement initiative. This project aimed to equip key personnel with the skills and tools required to drive meaningful change. Leveraging our expertise in Loss Analysis and Value Stream Mapping (VSM), we collaborated with MAP's team to identify critical inefficiencies and craft a strategic masterplan for long-term cost savings.


Challenge Overview
The supply chain faced challenges including inefficiencies in resource allocation, unidentified process bottlenecks, and escalating operational costs. The lack of a structured approach to loss analysis and process mapping hindered the ability to implement sustainable improvements. To address these issues, we conducted a series of workshops to train key stakeholders in Loss Analysis and VSM, enabling them to identify pain points and prioritize actionable solutions.
Result
The project culminated in the development of a comprehensive 3-year cost-saving masterplan, aligning with MAP's strategic goals. Equipped with a deeper understanding of their processes and inefficiencies, MAP's Supply Chain Department is now poised to implement targeted initiatives that drive sustainable improvements. The workshops not only delivered immediate insights but also empowered the team with the tools to continue their journey toward operational excellence.
